01 / THE PROJECT
Independent networks.
A common connection.
UniIX is an independent exchange project bringing voice, data, and fiber interconnection under a shared vision: participants connecting directly with one another.
The goal is to give participants a place to establish their own peering relationships and exchange traffic directly, instead of relying on a carrier as the intermediary. UniIX is in development; the current lab focuses on voice, with data and fiber exchange capabilities part of the broader vision.
02 / OUR APPROACH
Peer
Establish direct relationships with other participants and agree how to connect and exchange traffic.
Exchange
Move traffic between peers over mutually agreed connections, with participants choosing their own exchange partners.
